What We Believe
WE BELIEVE:
- in the Divine Authority of scriptures as God’s Word to us today.
- that the Christian Scriptures are the divinely inbreathed, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God
- that there is one God who eternally exists in the Persons of the Trinity
- that Jesus Christ is the Son of God come in human form and that he came by the virgin birth.
- in Christ’s deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life, the eternal all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand, and His personal coming again at His second advent
- in the need for Salvation through Jesus Christ;
- that justification is a judicial act of God on the believer’s behalf solely on the merits of Christ, and that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation
- that God is powerfully at work today by the Holy Spirit.
- and in the present day reality of the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord’s supernatural healing of the human body
- that God’s expects us to live holy lives according to His kingdom principles.
- in Christ’s Lordship of the Church,
- the observance of the ordinances of Christian baptism by immersion for believers and the Lord’s Supper
- that we as the church have the responsibility to make disciples until Jesus comes again.
- in the eternal destiny of man in either Heaven or Hell according to his acceptance or rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
